Can I use my contactless card abroad?

You can use your contactless card abroad like you can in the UK. Just look for the contactless symbol. Limits can vary when you’re abroad.

Can I use my NatWest Visa card abroad?

Yes! Our credit cards are widely accepted at millions of oversea retailers and ATMs. To use you credit card abroad, just look for the Mastercard or VISA (depending on which type of credit card you have) logo in retailers or on a cash machine.

How do I get a contactless debit card NatWest?

To request a contactless Debit Card, you can call us on 0345 366 0012 (Relay UK: 18001 0345 366 0012).

Do you get charged for contactless abroad?

When you make a debit card payment in a foreign currency (including contactless but not cash withdrawals, foreign currency or traveller’s cheque purchases), whether you’re in the UK or abroad, you’ll be charged fees.

How much does NatWest charge for using card abroad?

How do I activate my NatWest card abroad?

Register your credit card via the app

  1. Just tap on your credit card from the main page and go to ‘Manage my card’
  2. Tap ‘Going abroad’ then ‘Add Trip’
  3. Type in the name of your trip, add the dates of when you are departing and returning and then choose your country.

Can I use my Visa debit card in another country?

Yes. As long as your ATM or credit card has either a Visa or PLUS logo, you can withdraw cash at ATMs that are part of the Visa or PLUS network. How do I find an ATM in the country that I’m traveling to? Visa is accepted at over 200 countries and territories around the world.

Can you request a non contactless card NatWest?

RBS and NatWest say by default the majority of customers are given a contactless card. However, if customers wish, they can request a non-contactless ‘Full Authorisation’ card. Customers can request this card in branch or by telephone.
