Does AARP still have Plan F?

According to AARP, Medicare Supplement Plan F provides the most coverage, and as a result, it’s the most popular plan among those eligible for Medicare. But with recent changes, Plan F is no longer available to everyone as of January 1, 2020.

What is UnitedHealthcare Plan F?

Medicare Plan F covers all of the gaps in Original Medicare. It is considered to be the “Cadillac” coverage among the available Medicare supplements today. Plan F gives you first-dollar coverage for all Medicare-approved services.

Does UnitedHealthcare Plan F cover dental?

Medicare Supplement insurance plans, such as Plan F, do not include coverage for routine dental care. They are designed to cover out-of-pocket expenses for Original Medicare. Plan F covers all cost-sharing services for Plan A and Plan B. If you have Plan F, you will need to enroll in separate dental coverage.

Is Plan F being discontinued?

In case you missed the news, Medicare Supplement Plan F is being phased out starting January 1, 2020. If you currently have a Plan F, don’t panic. You can keep your plan as long as you want. However, if you become eligible for Medicare after January 1, 2020, you can’t purchase a Plan F.

Can I switch from Plan F to Plan G?

Can’t I just move from a Medigap Plan F to a Plan G with the same insurance plan? Yes, you can. However, it usually still requires answering health questions on an application before they will approve the switch.
