The little barrel-roofed two-celled prison on Sark must be one of the world’s smallest prisons still used today. The present building is situated next to the Visitor Centre. This was soon after the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588 and involved building batteries at L’Eperquerie and Creux harbour.
