How do you use a smartpen?

Turn on your smartpen and use the tip of the pen to tap on the “record” button. Smartpen has started recording and you can start taking notes. If you want to pause the recording, click pause, and when you want to resume, click record again and smartpen will continue recording from where it left off.

What is an Echopen?

The Livescribe Echo Pen has been used in Education for many years. It is an electronic pen that has a number of functions such as recording audio, linking the audio to your notes so you can tap on your notes to access the recording and notes are saved to your pen and can be uploaded to your computer.

How does Echo smartpen work?

In the case of taking notes during a discussion or lecture, the smartpen records the conversation and digitizes the handwriting, automatically synching the ink and audio. By later tapping the ink, the smartpen replays the conversation from the exact moment the note was written.

How does a live scribe pen work?

The pen works by recording its location using tiny dots on the paper. Livescribe includes a small notebook with the pen itself, and you can purchase additional notebooks from the company.

How do I connect my Echo smartpen to my computer?

Connect your USB mobile charging cradle (for Pulse smartpens) or Micro-USB cable (for Echo smartpens) to your computer and dock your smartpen. When you dock the smartpen, do not remove it until the transfer is complete. Livescribe Desktop shows a message confirming the transfer is successful.
