Members say it costs more than $400 to be a part of the 40-member squad. In some cases crew members say checks were written to a company called Crescent City Innovations. That company is registered to Chris Lea, the husband of captain Julie Lea. Clay took her concerns to social media earlier this week.
What does Nyx in New Orleans mean?

Thoth parades on the Sunday prior to Fat Tuesday each year through Uptown New Orleans with the most unique route in Mardi Gras. The men of Thoth annually shower the viewers of our street procession with literally tons of beads and trinkets. Thoth entered the Carnival picture in 1947 with 50 members and five floats.
