5.0 out of 5 stars Great speakers, well built, good sound. The Seismic Audio SA-15T speakers are very nicely made. The cabinet is very stiff, solid and made of “MDF” (a fancy sounding acronym meaning “Medium Density Fiberboard”).
Does an amplifier improve sound quality?
An amplifier boosts the sound to overcome road noise, improving your music’s clarity and intelligibility. It’ll increase your system’s headroom — the ability to play sudden blasts of music with power and ease, without distortion.
What should I look for in an audio amplifier?
When choosing an amplifier, look out for these specifications:
- Power output:
- Hint: Be sure to look at speaker sensitivity, since this has a big effect.
- THD+N:
- Hint: Lower numbers are better.
- SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio):
- Hint: Bigger numbers are better!
- Crosstalk:
Is a class AB amp better than a Class D?
Class A design is the least efficient but has the highest sound fidelity. Class AB design offers power efficiency and good sound. Class D design has the highest efficiency but isn’t quite as high-fidelity.
How do I choose an audio amplifier?
Generally you should pick an amplifier that can deliver power equal to twice the speaker’s program/continuous power rating. This means that a speaker with a “nominal impedance” of 8 ohms and a program rating of 350 watts will require an amplifier that can produce 700 watts into an 8 ohm load.

What is the medium for the sound waves from a stereo speaker?
Sound can propagate through a medium such as air, water and solids as longitudinal waves and also as a transverse wave in solids (see Longitudinal and transverse waves, below). The sound waves are generated by a sound source, such as the vibrating diaphragm of a stereo speaker.
What is system speaker?
Speakers are one of the most common output devices used with computer systems. Some speakers are designed to work specifically with computers, while others can be hooked up to any type of sound system. Regardless of their design, the purpose of speakers is to produce audio output that can be heard by the listener.
What is a sound speaker?
A loudspeaker (or loud-speaker or speaker) is an electroacoustic transducer; which converts an electrical audio signal into a corresponding sound.
