Is Sutton Hoo open yet?

The Sutton Hoo estate is open to visitors, including the café (with a limited take-away service), gift shop and bookshop. Visitors are able to follow the estate walks. Tranmer House and the High Hall exhibition are still closed. The car park is also open (10h00 to 17h00), and the payment machines are in operation.

How long do you need at Sutton Hoo?

Depends on what you want t do – we visited the museum and walked to the mounds and the red walk, we were here for about 2 to 2.5 hours. over a year ago. If you do the museum and the walk around the mounds, it’s a leisurely 4 hours. Mounds only – less than 2.

Are the toilets at Dunwich Heath open?
