It supports the introduction of a unified control track side system ERTMS REGIONAL in the European railway system as well as on the world market. UIC can help to support railways and industry to achieve a standardised approach in relation to control system requirements. The first Swedish pilot project operation will start mid 2009.

The annex A to these TSI enumerates the mandatory and the informative specifications for ERTMS, and the mandatory standards; all documents are available on the European Railway Agency website. One has to consider that specifications above-listed are under evolution and consequently are updated regularly.
How many people have completed UIC training sessions?
Hundreds of railway employees, students at rail universities and other stakeholders completed UIC training sessions either at UIC HQ, at regional level or online (RAM and ERTMS training modules).
