Oligofectamine™ Transfection Reagent is a proprietary formulation for transfecting oligonucleotides and short interfering RNA (siRNA) into eukaryotic cells. Oligofectamine™ Reagent is suitable for nuclear and cytoplasmic targets and transfects a wide variety of cell lines including CHO, HEK-293, NIH 3T3, and HeLa.
How long can you store Lipofectamine?
According to ThermoFisher, lipofectamine 3000 can be used until 2 years after the manufacturing date if stored properly (stored in a 4 degree fridge should be fine). The Optimem is sensitive to expiration.
Which transfection reagent is best?
Under the tested conditions, ViaFect™ Reagent offered the best combination of transfection efficiency and low toxicity for most cell lines, making it an ideal choice when beginning transfection experiments with a new cell line.
Is transfection toxic?
Transfection of cells at lower densities often leads to cellular toxicity because of an increase in the number of complexes delivered per cell.
How do you transfect Lipofectamine?
Mix Lipofectamine 2000 gently before use, then dilute the appropriate amount in 250 μl of Opti-MEM I Medium (or other medium without serum). Mix gently and incubate for 5 minutes at room temperature. After 5 minutes incubation, combine the diluted DNA with the diluted Lipofectamine 2000 (total volume is 500 μl).
How do you take Lipofectamine?
What is 4D Nucleofector?
The 4D-Nucleofector® X Unit is one of the four functional modules of the 4D-Nucleofector® System. It supports Nucleofection of various cell numbers (2 x 104 to 2 x 107) cells in different formats. There are cell type-specific Optimized Protocols or recommendations available in our knowledge database.
What is the protocol for Lipofectamine 2000 reagent?
Protocol Pub. No. MAN0007824 Rev.1.0 Lipofectamine®2000 Reagent Protocol Outline A. Plate cells so they will be 70–90% confluent at the time of transfection. B. Prepare plasmid DNA-lipid complexes. C. Add DNA-lipid complexes to cells. Lipofectamine®2000 DNA Transfection Reagent Protocol See page 2 to view a typical DNA transfection procedure.
What is openoligofectamine™ transfection?

What is oligofectamine reagent used for?
Description: Oligofectamine™ Reagent (1) is a proprietary formulation that is suitable for the transfection of oligonucleotides into eukaryotic cells. 1 ml is sufficient for 1,250-2,500 transfections in 96-well plates, or 500-1,000 transfections in 24-well plates.
