Rather shrewdly, Paslode nails and gas can be used with the Makita model – although this isn’t the same the other way around. Price-wise the two tools are also comparable, including the consumables.

Feels better in the hand than the paslode, got it for £300 ex VAT but if you shop around on the web they can be had a bit cheaper. Also, it comes with a 30 min. charger as standard. Much better than the 2hr paslode. Everyone who has used the Makita has said it will be their next nailer.

Should I buy the IM350 or the Paslode im90i?

I would go for the Paslode IM90i rather than the IM350, much better nailer, no temperature issues and it fires 90mm ring nails as opposed to 90mm smooth, more expensive but a much better nailer, really glad I had it through the freezing winter. Lithium batteries wont really make much difference as the draw needed for a nailer is miniscule.
